Participation by relatives and friends in the rehabilitation
The patient suffered impairment in movement on the left side. Initially, walking and talking difficulties arose. In addition, the patient suffered from aphasia (experienced difficulty with language).
Few keys affecting rehabilitation were:
-Collecting information about patients’ lifestyles, preferences and interests with health professional from different field (occupational and physical therapy).
-The patient was motivated, have a positive mood and humor throughout the rehabilitation process
-The patient performed home therapy on a daily basis
-Exercises based on what motivated the patient
-Long term goal chosen was playing guitar again even if professionals’ care told him that they did not know if he can play guitar again
